Cleaning Team Member

Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the cleanliness of client’s homes.

Principal Responsibilities

The following list illustrates the types of duties that our cleaners are required to undertake.

Staff are required:

  1. To be depended on to arrive at work at the prescribed time each day, knowing full well that tardiness and absences from work will place hardship on fellow team members and disrupt client cleaning schedules.
  2. To perform various cleaning activities, to include cleaning bathrooms, bathroom fixtures, showers and baths, and including washing floors, cleaning kitchens, ovens, vacuuming carpets, dusting, polishing and other cleaning-related activities in accordance with instructions given by the Service Manager and ensure that high company standards are maintained.
  3. To report any broken items, accidents or injuries promptly to your Line Manager.
  4. To move couches, chairs and other furniture as needed, subject to their prior assessment.
  5. To secure homes, including locking doors and windows, and activating alarms, without letting pets out and ensuring you have left the property in a safe and secure manner.
  6. To report any security or safety issues to your line Manager immediately.
  7. To report any emergency maintenance problems to include toilets and other water fixtures to your line Manager immediately.
  8. To wear appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment in accordance with the job you are performing.
  9. To learn specific cleaning techniques of the company based on time and motion. Work smarter, not harder.
  10. To attend and participate in meetings as requested by your Line Manager, Service Manager, or Owner.
  11. To understand and adhere to procedures as established in the Handbook and which may be revised from time to time.
  12. If employed with a requirement as a Driver, to drive yourself and other staff to the daily jobs in a clean and maintained vehicle, ensuring that your vehicle meets all legal requirements and is properly insured.
  13. To communicate effectively and appropriately with team members, managers, colleagues and clients.
  14. To perform other related duties as assigned and required by your Line Manager/Owner.

Ironing Operator

Purpose of the Role:
To share with other staff in providing a premium quality ironing service to discerning Customers.

Principal Responsibilities

The following list illustrates the types of duties that an Ironing Operative may be required to undertake.

Staff are required:

  1. To iron Customers’ garments to the highest standard.
  2. To inspect all garments prior to ironing and ensure that any problems are reported on the “Inspection Slip”.
  3. To ensure Quality control, by inspection of garments prior to wrapping and packing to ensure total quality to our Customers.
  4. To ensure productivity targets are met.
  5. To maintain your Operator’s area under a clean room environment, which encompasses a strict no smoking policy.
  6. To ensure hands are washed before commencing work, after eating or drinking and following the use of the toilet.
  7. To ensure your workstation is kept clean and to the highest standard, including work tops and floors.
  8. To wear approved Company provided work wear, Polo shirt and fleece jacket; ensuring that it, and yourself are presented in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
  9. To promptly report any problems to your Supervisor or Manager, i.e. equipment failure or deterioration.
  10. To conform to all polices and procedures laid down by the company.
  11. To undertake training as required.
  12. To undertake any other duties that are reasonably required.
